AI Music Filter for Spotify
RealSongCheck finds AI songs, removes them from your library, blocks AI artists, and auto-skips* AI the moment it plays.
* Auto-skip only possible with Spotify Premium.
One click. RealSongCheck will ask Spotify for permission to read and clean your library. We never add tracks, never sell data, and you can disconnect any time.
By connecting, you agree to RealSongCheck's and confirm you've read the .
Your removal and skip history is private to your account. Connect your Spotify to get started, or sign back in if you've used RealSongCheck before.
Have you stumbled upon an AI track we missed? Report it here. Every report is checked by a real human using an audio analysis system. We aim to review and update you within 48 hours.
Have we accidentally flagged a real song as AI? You can appeal false positives here. Every appeal gets read by a human. We update our database when we get it wrong.
Around 2023, AI-generated tracks began flooding people's algorithmic playlists. Tracks thoughtlessly churned out by AI farming tools have been gaming streaming recommendation systems and damaging artistic concentration that could be mobilizing around human music.
But the problem is bigger than artistic integrity. Every stream on an AI-generated track hoards royalties away from working musicians. Platforms have done some housekeeping, but the farms move faster than any moderation team can manage.
RealSongCheck is a way for us to collectively fight back. Connect your Spotify once, and our extension will clear AI from your Spotify to the best of our ability. Our mission is to let people discover music again with a clear conscience. You don't need to keep this site open. It runs in the background whenever you start playing music on Spotify.
We cannot guarantee 100% accuracy in our detection systems, but our goal is to continuously improve our ability to identify AI-generated tracks. Our current systems compile factors about each song and rate them based on their likelihood of being AI, which we relay back to you in your history tab.
You are informed of the AI likelihood of each track, and given the choice of which songs to remove. If you click the Remove all button, all songs we have flagged as AI are removed from your library. We sometimes make mistakes, so the is available to you at any time.
RealSongCheck in its current form works almost entirely from context signals: metadata, distributor patterns, release behaviour, and community reports. We do not currently do real-time audio analysis on individual tracks. Let us explain:
In theory, AI-generated songs are detectable by the composition of their audio. There are artifacts and patterns baked in by generative audio tools that a trained classifier can pick up on. In practice, doing this requires access to the raw audio file and a trained classifier running on a server. That's technically possible but expensive. If RealSongCheck grows, real-time audio analysis is the next leap. It would massively boost our accuracy and catch AI music that slips through with initially convincing metadata. But for now, the context-signal approach catches the vast majority of AI farm content, because those operations have very consistent metadata patterns.
We don't add tracks, we only remove them with your consent to our detection system's judgement by connecting your Spotify. We don't sell your data. We don't share anything beyond what the Spotify API requires to function. We are a nonprofit organization with no ads and no investors. If RealSongCheck has been useful to you, helps insulate our servers and invest in better detection systems.
We are a nonprofit organization and give you the choice to pay what you want. We believe artistic transparency should be a right, not a privilege. Choosing to support us helps keep our servers running, insulates our organization, and funds more accurate detection systems for everyone.
RealSongCheck and its users are making actionable change in music. Each track we block represents a stream that would have been eaten by an AI bot farm, but is now rightfully going to the royalty pool for millions of real people.
The more users join us, the bigger impact we can have for working musicians. Streaming platforms pay roughly $0.004 to $0.007 per stream. A single AI farm operating at modest volume (a thousand tracks getting a few hundred streams each per week) pulls in several hundred dollars a month. That money could and should be helping people.
We don't platform AI artist names or AI track names here. This page is to explain the scale of the problem and how easy it is to make a difference.

Connecting your Spotify account gives us an encrypted OAuth token, which we store on our server. That token is what lets us read and manage your library on your behalf. We keep your scan results, removal history, and any settings you configure. We do not hold your Spotify username, email, or profile details unless you send them to us directly, for example when filing an appeal.
Everything we store is used for one purpose: running RealSongCheck for you. That means scanning your library, removing tracks you have approved for removal, watching your playback, and keeping your history up to date. We do not sell this information, share it with advertisers, or use it for anything outside the service itself.
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you disconnect, we delete everything immediately: your token, your scan history, your removal logs, your blocked artist list, and your preferences. There is no grace period and no recovery once this happens.
We connect to Spotify through their official Web API using OAuth 2.0. The permissions we request are limited to what the service actually needs: reading your library, making changes to it, and checking playback state for the auto-skip feature. We will never post to your profile, access your payment details, or add anything to your library.
Tokens are encrypted before storage. Every connection between your browser, our server, and Spotify goes over HTTPS. We do not retain raw API data from your library beyond what appears in your personal history log.
You can delete all of your data at any time by using Disconnect and delete in Settings. If you have questions about what we hold, get in touch directly. Users in the EU and UK have rights under GDPR and UK GDPR, including the right to see, correct, and erase your data.
The only outside party that touches your data is Spotify AB, through their API. We do not run any analytics tools, advertising services, or other third-party processors.
If we make meaningful changes here, we will update the date at the top of this page. Carrying on using the service after a change means you accept the updated policy.
For privacy questions or data removal requests, use the appeal form or any contact details listed on the site.
